The number of annual patent applications is continuously increasing and IP litigation has been thriving these past years. In this difficult legal job market, it can therefore be more important than ever to stay up to date with IP hot issues.

The founder of IPWachdog.com is Gene Quinn, a patent attorney, law professor and a leading commentator on patent law and innovation policy. IPWatchdog.com is an Internet magazine focusing on the business, policy and substance of patents and other forms of intellectual property, such as copyrights and trademarks. This site provides detailed analysis with magazine-length articles and op-ed pieces.


2. Patently-O

According to BusinessWeek, Patently-O is the most widely read patent law blog. It was created by Dennis Crouch, a law professor and patent attorney at the University of Missouri Law School and Jason Rantanen, an associate law professor at the University of Iowa.
3. Patent Baristas

Patent Baristas is an intellectual property news and commentary site focusing on patent and IP issues in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields. Articles are written in a language that everyone can understand and their content is full of information you will not find anywhere else. Stephen Jenei is the founder and owner of that blog.



4. Plagiarism Today
Plagiarism Today is a site targeted at Webmasters and copyright holders regarding the issue of plagiarism online. Though it deals with many legal issues, in particular the DMCA and copyright law, it is not a legal blog per se.
